Introduction
Green Tea
Our team was tasked with improving some form of transportation in any way. We considered numerous different methods of transportation with various flaws and defects, but we ultimately settled on improving crutches. We felt that crutches are used so often by all different kinds of people, yet they have not changed much in recent years. As we began examining the imperfections of crutches, we looked into how difficult they are to adjust, and how difficult it is for users to scale stairs with them. It became obvious that it was easier to climb stairs while the crutches were shortened, and descend stairs when the crutches were lengthened. The more we looked into these issues, the more apparent it became that these both branched off of one major issue; a difficult height adjusting system. That is why we decided to improve the way that crutches adjust. While designing our product, we had to keep in mind that our users would be people with a wide range of ages and weights with some sort of leg or foot injury. That is why we knew that our product had to be easy to use without weighing too much. Our product could be applied in the real world and allow users to adjust their crutches quickly before going up or down stairs or even just while they are walking around. We eliminated the need to stop walking, bend down, and pinch the little buttons to extend out the crutch leg.

Our team grew extensively throughout the course of the semester. With the intro project, we struggled with communication and working together on some portions of the project. Also, our rover struggled on gameday and we did not hit the target every time like we had expected. However, throughout the final project design process, we were much more cooperative as a team and we consistently hit our goals throughout the timeline. We worked together on most of the parts of this project, and the result was a product that the whole team was proud of. Our crutch worked flawlessly on gameday too, which was most likely due to the numerous iterations we did to the design and the code.
